RMT means “Registered Massage Therapist”. In Canada, massage therapy is regulated in 5 provinces; BC, Newfoundland & Labrador, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Ontario.
💆RMT is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and each RMT has their own registration number.
💆RMT had completed competency-based program at a recognized school of massage therapy. (1.5years to 3 years)
💆RMT had complted practical and written exams to ensure their knowledge for safe and effective massage therapy.
💆RMT has to maintain their professional standards by participating in continuing education and quality assurance program.

Only the indivisual who completed these programs and successfully passed the registration exams are allowed to use the title of Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) or Massage Therapist (MT).
